We’re pleased to announce, as of April 13, 2024, the Biblioteca Italiana Seattle is open! Thank you to the volunteers with Il Punto, Casa Italiana, and so many others who made this happen, and all the time it took!
You can browse the stacks of 3500+ items and check out/return materials when the library is open each Saturday from 10am-12pm. In the Biblioteca Italiana (BIS) you’ll find a special variety of Italian-language novels and essay books, learn-Italian books, travel and cook books, comic books, DVD’s, CD’s, dictionaries, children’s books, as well as an English section of Italian authors – all curated and run by Il Punto. They also plan to have book clubs in the future. Due to limited space, there are restrictions to material donations and require a form onsite. Note that Il Punto may accept books, DVD’s, or CDs printed after the year 2000. They cannot accept: video cassettes or music cassettes, pictures, frames, postcards, photos, maps, mementos of Italy, any additional children’s books or comics, college books, school books, or dictionaries. Please do not drop off donations outside of the BIS open hours.
